Brian,

I am second cousins with Kat who has done the 37 marker DNA test and has made the connection to William Nichols, Sr. I have time this summer and was wondering if you have any advice on where to look to get past William Nichols, Sr.

My family is from Corsica, my grandmother was born in Rogliano corsica and my family migrated to puerto rico. I just started doing research on that side of the family. What part of corsica was your family from.

I love visiting my local historical society. They often put on programs which depict the way life was back in a certain time. Even if the ancestor depicted is not my own, you will learn about events happening in the community and nation which no doubt influenced your ancestors life. I myself belong to my towns historical society as well as a local genealogy society. They have been a very valuable resource.

Regards, Jim

Hi, I was thrilled to read the information in these posts as I have been hunting for information regarding Harriet Susan Wood (my great, great grandmother - Charles was her father). I was in Georgia in early August attempting to locate the Wood Family Cemetery. Unfortunately, I wasn't successful in my efforts although I did see a newer development which I wondered may be what is referenced in this earlier strand of e-mails. It is disheartening to see our history destroyed. If anyone can tell me the exact location of the Wood Cemetery, I would be appreciative. If I can be of assistance to aid in the preservation of our family's history, I want to help.
